I hacked together this 'updated' telnetsnoopd by doing a line-by-line
comparison between the original telnetsnoopd source found with slackware
sources (InfoMagic June '96 in this case) and telnetd found in NetKit. I
am far from a coder in any sense of the word, but there did not seem to be
significant differences between telnetsnoopd and telnetd. The most
obvious changes are in global.c, and the addition of logwtmp from NetKit's
telnetd.

Most of the other changes I made seemed more like differences in style,
but I told you I'm not a programmer, so those changes may be significant.
No one else wanted to fix it, so I did what I could to emulate the
security-mindedness of Dave Holland's current NetKit :)

This version of telnetsnoopd works for me. I'm not -sure- if it's any
more secure, I'm running it here so I guess I'll be the 1st victim :) I
think it's at least improved over the old telnetsnoopd, with it's
'environment variable' vulnerabilities. I would appreciate any feedback
letting me know of any blatant errors I made.

You'll need the libtelnet files, they can be found with the original
telnetsnoopd source, probably other places as well.
