Updates 7 Apr 04: gtk2 (updated added xinput and also added a doinst.sh to create the modules in /etc/gtk-2.0) bug_buddy (updated was not installing the doinst.sh file) pygtk (added as new build script) Updated 6 Apr 04: gtk2 (updated and fixed modules) intltool (fixed slack-desc) libbonobo (fixed slack-desc) libgnome (added some really cool stuff that will give you a nice default desktop for Slackware) libidl (updated) orbit2 (updated) pango (updated fixed modules issue) gnome-themes-extra (added) fam (added) gail (fixed download url) libgtop (fixed download url) The only other thing I will maybe add is libiconv then these will be stable and ready for use. Here are the build scripts for gnome these are all set for 2.6. They will download the source and build the package. You must follow the BUILD_ORDER file and build and install each package in order. It takes some time but 2.6 is well worth it. As with all the build scripts it requires the slackbuilds conf file or package to be installed. This will allow you to compile with your own optimizations. If you have problems let me know. And thanks to Robert for all his hard work on his 2.6 package area. Watch the builds for errors and check the package before you install it. run ldconfig after each package build Do not build and install the packages while you are using gnome. upgradepkg will work with all these I didn't have to uninstall anything first when I tested it. Some may be new so you will have to use installpkg. Jim
