Welcome to KDE 3.5 for Slackware!

This collection of KDE packages was built to be as full-featured as
possible.  This means that you will probably need to download more
packages from Linuxpackages.net in order to satisfy the requirements
for each KDE package.

Please refer to the slack-required file in each KDE package in order to
determine its dependencies.  A full list of dependencies for all the
KDE packages is included below.

NOTES:

As of KDE 3.5.4, the kdebase package has been built with media notification
using D-Bus and HAL.  This allows KDE to present the user with a dialog box
when some type of removable media (CD/DVD disc, USB memory stick, digital
camera, etc.) is inserted.  This type of setup requires a 2.6 Linux kernel
(version 2.6.15 or later) with udev support enabled.  You will also need a
recent version of the udev package.
